Type A: Self-Submission
Sellers can easily submit their luxury goods directly from home, utilizing GEMCY’s user-friendly platform, supported by AI-driven tools.
- Submission:
Sellers upload high-quality images of their items through GEMCY’s platform. AI-powered tools assist them in generating accurate product descriptions and suggest pricing based on market data and similar listings. - AI-Assisted Listings:
GEMCY’s AI system helps sellers by automatically generating a professional description for their item and recommending an optimal price. This ensures the listing is competitive and attractive to buyers while reflecting current market trends. - Item Remains with Seller:
The item stays with the seller during the listing process, giving them full control over their luxury piece. There is no need to send the item to GEMCY until it is sold, providing convenience and peace of mind. - Sale and Shipping:
Once the item is sold, the seller is notified and is instructed to ship the piece to GEMCY or one of our certified partner jewelers for authentication and certification. Type B: Submission through a Local Jeweler
For sellers who prefer direct involvement with a local expert, GEMCY offers the Type B submission method through our network of trusted jewelers.
- Submission:
Sellers submit their luxury item to a participating local jeweler from GEMCY’s network. The jeweler receives the item for an initial evaluation and keeps it secure throughout the certification process. - Initial Evaluation:
GEMCY’s team of experts, in collaboration with the local jeweler, evaluates the item’s authenticity, quality, and value. This includes detailed material analysis and craftsmanship inspection, ensuring that the item meets GEMCY’s high standards. - Certification and Blockchain Record:
Once the evaluation is complete, the item is assigned a unique certification number, and all relevant information is recorded on the GEMCY VEVA blockchain. This provides a permanent, tamper-proof record of authenticity, accessible by both the seller and the buyer. - Listing on the Marketplace:
After certification, the item is listed on the GEMCY marketplace, with its blockchain-backed certificate of authenticity visible to potential buyers. Sellers can rest assured that their luxury goods are professionally represented, and buyers can trust the certification process. - Sale and Shipping:
When the item is sold, GEMCY handles all logistics, ensuring secure shipping from the local jeweler to the buyer. Counterfeit Items and Buyer Protection
GEMCY is committed to maintaining the highest standards of trust and authenticity. In the rare event that an item is found to be a counterfeit during the certification process, we take swift action to protect the buyer and maintain the integrity of the marketplace:
- Full Refund for Buyers:
If GEMCY’s expert team determines that an item is a counterfeit, the buyer will receive a full refund of their purchase. GEMCY ensures that buyers are never at risk of losing money on fraudulent items. - Legal Action:
In addition to refunding the buyer, GEMCY takes legal action by reporting the counterfeit case to local law enforcement. We work closely with the authorities to ensure that fraudulent sellers are held accountable and that counterfeit items are removed from circulation.
